"April saw a welcome return of James Davey to MK Chorale to lead a second workshop, this time with the theme of "Changing choral colour". With the focus on the production of different vowel sounds James encouraged us to create sounds in spaces we didn't know we had.... By the end of a most enjoyable evening we had all improved our knowledge of the relationship between vocal techniques and the sounds that we make, especially the different vowel sounds needed by different languages - even if we were singing in English."

Penny Yates, Chair - Milton Keynes Chorale

"James Davey took a workshop with our choir with the aim of improving members' vocal technique. The day was split into 4 sessions focussing on different aspects of singing from warming-up the voice, correct posture, sounding different vowels and consonants and look at breathing and phrasing. We also had a chance to work on some of our own songs in preparation for our concert as well as discovering some new ones. Our choir learnt a lot from the experience and the singing was noticably improved by the end of the session - it was amazing to hear the change in quality and sound possible, just by making a host of small changes."
